Nerve Formulas Heal Nerve Damage, Epilepsy, Tourettes, etc.

    I had a customer email today reporting that her sister had a tooth removed over a year ago and in the removal it ripped up her gums as well as the nerves with some being exposed.  The gum healed but she has been suffering terrible pain as well as seizures sometimes causing her to not be able to move her mouth and at times to speak. She has had doctors and dentists tell her that nothing is wrong with her and some even saying she is faking it!  It is experiences like this that converted me to natural healing, because there is always a cure with natural healing and they never treat you like you are crazy!

    I have had two dentists damage nerves that took some time to heal.  The first time I wasn’t using the herbs, I ended up with a numb face for about two years before it finally healed on its own.  The second adventure actually happened three times before I switched dentists.  When work had to be done the dentist ended up damaging nerves with the shots.  I used Relax-Eze to heal the problem, but it took a huge amount of it to heal - 4 capsules at least 4 times a day for six months!  Hard to believe that it took me three times to figure out the dentist was not good at all!  I have never had any problem since I switched to my present dentist.

    For the customer I let her know my story and suggested the Relax-Eze, having the patient work with the herbs to determine her dosage.  I like to start with 2 capsules, if that takes care of the pain then when the pain comes back take two again as needed until the healing occurs.  If two wasn’t enough, then try 3, then 4 and so on until you find the dosage.  Then take as needed for as long as needed.

    This weeks lesson from An Herbal Legacy of Courage follows Dr. Christopher as he becomes an herbalist and opens a practice.  Not having enough money to sustain his family he works a gardener in the morning, harvesting the herbs that he uses in the afternoon to heal his patients.  Learn from him as he developes more healing formulas that we use today.  

Drafted into the Army, WWII

    In chapter two in the Herbal Legacy of Courage book we follow John as he is drafted into the Army. As a conscientious objector he was sent to Fort Lewis, where he was assigned to supervise a medical dispensary. It was frustrating for him to go from teaching people how to take care of themselves naturally to serving where he was denied the use of the herbal healing methods. 

    One morning while discussing the various cases they were faced with, John was finally given the opportunity to use natural healing methods with a man with a bad case of impetigo.  The man was going to be released from the army because nothing had worked to clear up the problem.  He refused to be released saying “I got this here, I’m not going to take this home to my family”.  John was given a week and no one believed that he could cure the man. He had Black Walnuts flown in overnight from Utah and made an extract with rubbing alcohol. He made a compress over the mans head with instructions to keep it wet with the tincture 24/7.  A week later everyone returned to see the results and as John lifted the compress off, the scab came off with it, and the soldier's scalp was clean and pure. The impetigo was gone, and had left no scarring.

    After that amazing result John was allowed to use his herbal medicine. His black walnut extract gained a widespread reputation, and he continued to use it to treat impetigo as well as fungus infection and jungle rot. John eventually found that the black walnut hulls exacted an almost miraculous cure against a variety of other stubborn conditions, including scrofula, eczema, ringworm, shingles, and chronic boils. With an endless supply of patients and the blessings of his superiors, he was able to discover firsthand the healing properties of many of the herbs he had until then only read about.

    John formulated his Complete Tissue & Bone Formula and Ointment which has been a miracle formula for many people over the years to re-grow fingers, heal horrific burns, dermatitis, and more. He was able to spend quiet hours in the laboratory experimenting, and it was there where he began to discover the herbal combinations that could relieve his own serious health problems.

    At the end of John’s military obligation, despite an invitation to spend another tour of duty in the dispensary and to let the Army pay for his medical education, he declined and headed home to his wife and family.  Please read chapter 2, it really is an amazing story that we can all learn from.

I'm Going to Be a Doctor.

    This week’s reading assignment is Chapter 1 of An Herbal Legacy of Courage book.  Please click on the above link to read the chapter.  

    Dr. Christopher’s life is full of so many amazing events.  He was left in an orphanage as an infant along with his sister, and adopted by two loving people. He nearly died as a young child, miraculously a stranger knocked on their door saying the child was not to die, that he had an important mission to perform. John's father listened as the stranger gave explicit instructions on how to cut the phlegm and stop the croup, they followed the instructions and he lived.

    Born with advanced rheumatoid arthritis, John endured excruciating pain. Doctors said he would never live to be thirty. His mother had many health issues as well, and it tore at his heart as he sat, helpless against the diseases that ravaged her and unable to ease her agony. One day she asked  what he wanted to be when he grew up.  He said a doctor. She laughed saying you can’t stand the sight of blood and he remarked back, “Mother, I will be able to heal people without cutting them up. There will be natural ways of doing it”.

    In his studies he came across scripture that told him he needed to eat meat sparingly, eat fruits, grains and nuts in their seasons.  John adopted a stringent diet of fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. As he changed his diet, he noticed his rheumatism changed. With the full diet, he suffered little from the disease. He wrote and published his first book Just What is the Word of Wisdom? 

    Read chapter 1 which tells about when he was pronounced dead and sent to the morgue, only to be found breathing by his parents when they came to identify the body.......

    Before gaining my skills in natural medicine,  as a young parent I would take my children to the doctor when they were sick and quite often nothing could be done to help them. My son Kyle had ear infection after ear infection and was on multiple courses of antibiotics that never helped. I finally figured out that going to the doctor was a waste of time and money. Dissolving Kidney and Gall Stones

A friend recently told me that she and her daughter were having problems with kidney stones which always happens late at night.  Unfortunately I was hearing about this after they received medical treatment for the problem.

Stone Dissolve tea is famous for its action as a dissolver for calculi (stones). Drink 1 to 2 quarts daily of tea made with apple cider to dissolve stones in the kidneys and entire urinary tract. I looked up the ingredients in Jurassic Green and found that Alfalfa is good for dissolving gravel.

Gravel is the same as stones, so I decided that I needed to continue drinking the Jurassic Green.  After just one dose the pain was gone and it has been many years since then and I have continued drinking Jurassic Green and I have never had the kidney stone problem again. This is amazing because most people continue to have problems with stones. Raw Chocolates made with Coconut Oil and Essential Oils

    I heard about people making raw chocolate and being a chocolate lover myself I had to learn how to make it.  There are many studies about the health benefits of chocolate, so for the best health eat raw chocolate!  There have been studies done on the health benefits of coconut oil which you can learn about on the Coconut Research Center website. There are so coconut oil

 1 cup cold pressed virgin coconut oil
1 tablespoon raw cacao butter
12 tablespoons raw cacao powder
2 teaspoons vanilla
6 tablespoons agave or 2 teaspoons stevia

Put a cup of coconut oil in a 4 cup glass measuring cup.  Add the tablespoon of raw cacao butter on top of the coconut oil, I have found that it melts much quicker when it is grated. You can make it without the cacao butter, but I find that it gives it a richer taste with it.  Get a large bowl of hot water and put the glass measuring cup into the hot water - be sure not to get any water into the oil.  I let it sit on the counter for about half an hour to melt. 

    When the oils are melted add the other ingredients, I like to use stevia, but the agave syrup would make more chocolate!  Stir completely with a whisk and then pour into your molds and add your add-ins to them.  Place them in the freezer for 30 minutes and then pop them out of the mold.  Keep them either frozen or refrigerated because coconut oil has a low melting point.    Pictured I show almonds, I love nuts!  Dried tart cherries, yum, chocolate covered cherries!  And my favorite coconut.  I now pour some of the liquid chocolate into a bowl and add the coconut to a very thick consistency.  I then spoon it onto a wax paper covered pan and freeze it. A coconut lover’s delight!  The first photo at the top shows a coconut chocolate done as this way.    

  Another favorite is mint and orange flavored chocolate.  Be careful not to add too much peppermint essential oil or it is too strong.  I’ll pour out 1/2 cup of liquid chocolate and add 3 to 4 drops of peppermint essential oil to the mixture.  Same thing with the orange essential oil, start with 3 to 4 drops taste and add more if it needs more flavor.  Which essential oils would you use to flavor chocolates?  I love these flavored chocolates, very tasty!

   My husband does not like dark chocolate, so I decided to experiment making milk chocolate with coconut milk.  I use the full fat organic Thai coconut milk - I add a good 2 - 3 tablespoons to the chocolate mixture and it makes a mellower chocolate that he enjoys.  The photo of the three chocolates at the top are the milk chocolate, with coconut, peppermint and almonds.  We are loving these healthy treats at our house! 

   We went to a wedding reception a few weeks ago where they had muffin tin sized servings of MnM’s. They didn’t interest me, but my husband grabbed them. He popped a few in his mouth and turned to me and said, “yuck, your chocolates taste much better”! Yay, I have a raw chocolate convert in the house!

Little herb kit comes in handy when you need it!

    It doesn’t matter how big or how small of a trip we are taking, I always worry more about if I have enough herbs with me than about any other item I may have forgotten.  It makes me happy when I need a certain formula and I dig through my bag of herbs I put together and am able to find what I need.  Our little four day weekend getaway to Colorado was no exception, I always end up using some of the herbs.  Learn more about what is in this little kit.

A little bit of knowledge goes a long way and saves money!

You don’t have to be a Master Herbalist to effectively use herbal medicine in your home. I had an acquaintance come over the other day for a bottle of Liver and Gall Bladder Formula.  Her daughter had been having some gall-bladder pain and had some testing done by a doctor and he determined that she didn’t have gallstones.  The doctor didn’t know why her daughter was in so much pain, so he gave her Vicodin and told her she would have to have more testing done for them to determine what the problem was.  Like many people this family does not have health insurance, so the mom decided to look into the natural route.

The name of the products tells what they are for, which makes it easy to choose the right formula. The Liver and Gall Bladder Formula cleanses both the liver and the gall bladder. The Gall-bladder’s function is to make bile which helps to break down the fats that we eat.  Pain in the Gall-bladder could just be the fact that it has gotten overloaded and needs cleansing.

With gall bladder symptoms I would not eat fatty and fried food for awhile and focus on eating more fresh fruits and vegetables to help the body to cleanse.  If I were in a lot of pain I would do a castor oil pack on the area with a heat pad over it.  Here is a video that tells how to use a castor oil pack.

If gall stones are suspected then I would make Dr. Christophers hydrangea formula using the cut hydrangea root.  Make a tea using a quart of apple cider and one ounce of hydrangea root, soaked for three days, keep refridgerated. Take two ounce doses during a three day cleanse and by the end the stones should be dissolved.

This is an easy program to follow and affordable too!  It takes a little bit of time and cooperation and will save a lot of money over conventional medicine.  People that have their gall bladders removed have to stay away from eating fats the rest of their lives.  It is much wiser to follow a simple cleansing program than to have to deal with the consequences of gall bladder removal.

If you are struggling with a health issue look for the formula that is named after what they are used for.  We learned that the Liver and Gall Bladder formula is for the liver and gall bladder. We then know that  the Kidney Formula is for the kidneys. The Bladder Formula for the bladder and so on.  It's easy!  Many of the formulas are available in capsules as well as extract.
