    I have heard from a few mom’s recently that have switched to the protocol for ADD/ADHD . It always makes me happy to hear some success stories when it comes to raising ADD kids. I’ve been greatly concerned about the amount of people that are taking psychotropic drugs. When my son was in elementary school one of his teachers had been successful in getting just about every kid in class on some type of medication for ADD. Do you need Memory Plus or MindTrac?

On quite a few occations people call saying “I think I need MindTrac, my memory is getting bad”. Some of the herbs in MindTrac are for memory, but with memory being the main concern I would suggest Memory Plus over MindTrac.

Back to school for the ADD/ADHD child & parents

By August most parents are ready for their kids to be back in school especially if you have an ADD or ADHD child. On the flip side of that is the stress the parent goes through to get the child through the school year, no easy task and I’ve been there.

For anyone dealing with a stressful situation, especially parents of the ADD/ADHD child you need to take care of yourself first. My favorite formula for stress is Mindtrac which is great for the child, but also for the people that live with them. This formula has been a lifesaver for me over the years helping me to get through the day. This formula covers anxiety, depression, stress and hyperactivity. Food choices are very important for the ADD/ADHD child. Stick with real food that you prepare, so that you know what they are eating. More formulas to stock in your herb cabinet

Last weeks blog was about some great basic formulas to stock in your herb cabinet. I can’t begin to tell you how great it is to be able to open up my cabinet to pick out what I need at any given time. Adrenal Formula - it took me awhile to figure out how I feel when I need the Adrenal Formula, it is when you are exhausted like when you have been burning the candle at both ends. I think this describes a lot of people, so if you can identify with this, put this one in the cupboard and use it.

Arthritis again???

I have been trying to get a newsletter out for the past few weeks, but my father’s health deteriorated quickly and I was able to go and spend some time with him in the last week. He passed away Dec. 16th, so we will be headed back up to Washington for the funeral.

I had been taking Mindtrac for quite a few months but I felt I was doing ok so I stopped taking it. Then the eye problem set in and I started having arthritis flare-ups and decided to reread the pages on Arthritis in the Nutritional Healing book. What jumped out at me is that often Arthritis is stress related! I would say that I have been under a good amount of stress the past few months.

Depression is a Normal Part of Life

MindTrac is another one of those great formulas to have on hand when you need it. The first time I used it was when my now 20 year old son was in 4th grade. It’s nice to be able to look back at this point in time where he is a grown up young man doing great things in his life, but in 4th grade I didn’t think he had a chance. We were going through some really hard times with him in school and at home. I would get my kids to school and then go back to bed until about noon, drag myself out of bed, get my work done, get some things done around the house and then pick up the kids from school. After about three weeks of this I realized I really had a problem and that I was depressed, stressed, anxious, you name it. I got on the Herbs First website and looked at the MindTrac formula and thought this would be a good one to try because it looked like it would cover every symptom I was having. From the first day that I tried it I was amazed at the difference, I didn’t feel like I had to sleep after getting the kids to school and I was better able to handle the difficult situation with my son until things turned around for him.

Depression is a normal part of life. Life isn’t always easy and people are going to go through hard times and get stressed and depressed.
