To stitch or not to stitch....that is the question.

We have some great little stocking stuffers when it comes to Essential Oils and Western Botanicals Formulas. Many people have come to realize that the Garden Essence Essential Oils are of the same quality as the network marketed brands they have been using for about 1/3 of the price and save even more with the extra sale.  I love Western Botanicals Essential Skin Care which is a great hand and body lotion.  I would love to have just about any of Western Botanicals Formulas in my stocking!  Best pricing is now, they are bound to go up the first of the year.
healing cut    I have to say that I am less than satisfied at how my hand healed with the stitches. I really wonder at this point if the result would have been much different if I had handled it myself.  I noticed the same problem years ago when my sons arm got cut when friend skied into him. After the stitches were out the cut popped back open. Stitches have to come out after a week, otherwise the skin grows through the stitches and getting them out would be a problem.  This cut was in such a tricky spot I felt I was better off getting them.  Once the stitches were out, the cut popped open.  Oh well, live and learn!

This past week I was using the Complete Tissue & Bone Ointment on the cut as well as taking the capsules.  After a few days I was wondering why it still was hurting so much.  Then I realized that the capsules were tasting a bit like Immucalm.  These are two of the formulas that I often capsulize myself and rebottle in their original bottles.  I looked at the capsules and found that indeed they were Immucalm incorrectly put in a Complete Tissue and Bone bottle by me!  I got out another bottle of Complete Tissue & Bone capsules and looked at them closely and noted that they were the right ones.  Not long after taking them the pain was much less and I was happy that they were doing their job. The healing would have been better had I been taking the right formula for the first three days.

We have many of Dr. Christopher’s formulas available in bulk. It is a good way to save money, if you know how you want to use them.  I like to get the cut formulas to make a syrup or ointment depending on the formula.  The bulk formulas are sold by their original name, so look for the current name next to the old name.  We sell empty capsules and a capsule machine to aid in capsulizing powders.

Our November sale ends Friday at 11:00 am mountain time.  33% off Garden Essence Essential Oils and 25% off Western Botanical Formulas and 5% off bulk single herbs.  Buy some today!

  1. Did the Complete Tissue Ointment help with the end stage of healing? I'd imagine the ointment kept the wound moist and helped it not crack open with movement. Not a pleasant place for a cut!

  2. It was very interesting, you can see how it popped open after the week - it sure made me wonder why I got it stitched. I continued to put the ointment on it several times a day and you could see the progress as it healed. By the end of the 2nd week, one week after stitches it was closed. Its been about three and a half weeks, and I have a scab and it is a bit red, but looks pretty good otherwise. Hopefully that won't happen again, but I think I would try it on my own and see how it goes.
