It’s that time of year again! If you are thinking travel, you are right. If you are thinking hayfever, you are right.
A friend posted the following on facebook: “We
are awake at 4 am because of the time difference, as are most tourists
here. The streets and restaurants are bustling by 5 am and the sunrise
cafe breakfasts on the beachfront are spectacular. @ Honolulu, Hawaii”
Even
though my husband and I are affected less and less by hayfever, it is
still a problem for a few weeks a year. Our backyard gets covered by a
layer of yellow pollen from our three Honey Locust trees for at least
three weeks every spring. I found a combination of essential oils a few
years ago that work great in the diffuser and under my nose to help me with the symptoms. I use equal parts of lemon, lavender and peppermint, I love the smell of the blend. The peppermint helps keep my nose clear and the other oils help with the symptoms. Read the blog post about the oils here. I also take one of the sinus formulas that I talk about in this blog post. I never take medication, only use the oils and the herbs.
