Summer Time is Ointment Season

Summer is the time when the need for ointment goes up, with sunburns, over worked muscles, bug bites, poison ivy and other rashes, etc. It is important to have a variety of ointments in your refrigerator so that you have them when you need them.

Complete Tissue and Bone Ointment My all time favorite and top of the list is the Complete Tissue and Bone Ointment, a must have for every household. Great for sore muscles, joints and carpal tunnel. This ointment works at an amazing speed to increase the of healing of abrasions, blisters, burns, cuts, sprains, broken bones, etc. I use Complete Tissue and Bone ointment just about every day rubbing into my knees and hips. I like to use it on those little paper cuts that hurt so much. It will quickly heal sunburns and help regrow skin of third degree burned skin. Read burn stories here. This is the same formula as the massage oil with beeswax in it to make it an ointment. Available in 2 oz and 4 oz.

Cayenne Ointment Cayenne Heat Ointment is a great one to put on over the Complete Tissue and Bone Ointment for sore muscles and joints. Be sure to wash your hands very well, as this stuff is potent and you don’t want it in sensitive areas. Available in 2 oz and 4 oz.

Comfrey Ointment Comfrey Ointment is a great healing balm. It has been used to successfully treat Mulloscum where nothing else would work. Wonderful for itching, chapping, minor burns, abrasions, scrapes and bruises.
Available in 2 oz./span>

Glandular OintmentGlandular Ointment and massage oil is used by my family more in the winter months, but can also be used any time of year when needed. It contains Mullein & Lobelia. Mullein is a specific herb to help assist the body with many glandular disorders. There are lymph nodes that swell on the neck, breast, groin, under arm, etc. and should swelling happen the Glandular Ointment or Massage Oil is the one to reach for. At home we add the essential oil blend X-Plague to the bottle and use it on the tonsil area when we feel a sore throat coming on. Put it on the thyroid area of the neck for thyroid disorders.
Available in 2 oz.

Itch Ointment Itch Ointment is Dr. Christopher’s Chickweed Ointment and is excellent for Eczema, Psoriasis and other skin infections, sores and burning itchy skin. Make a bath of chickweed tea to bathe in and then put the Itch Ointment on afterwards to enhance the healing.

Rash Ointment Rash Ointment contains a blend of herbs for the pain, itching and inflammation of dry, scaly skin and burns. Commonly used for poison ivy, oak or sumac. A great one to pack for picnics and camping trips.
Available in 2 oz.

Stings and Bites Ointment Stings and Bites Ointment is for the pain, swelling and itching caused by insect stings and bites as well as minor cuts and scrapes. Summer is mosquito season and Stings and Bites Ointment is another great ointment to bring to any outdoor outing.

  1. Can I use Christoper's bone & tissue ointment on my cat without ill effects? We use it for everything on ourselves and it works wonders.

  2. Complete Tissue & Bone would be a great ointment for any pet. It won't hurt if they lick it, since it is all natural.
