I
have been seeing Turmeric shakes and pills at
many stores lately. Turmeric is used for
inflammatory disorders, including arthritis,
tendonitis, bursitis and autoimmune conditions
and more.

I
have been making the Turmeric Paste for awhile
and add it to my smoothie Making it this way
is affordable and nice to not have to swallow
more capsules. A pound of Turmeric powder will
last me about six months. You can make
the Golden Milk with the paste, or add it to a
smoothie like I do. This is a very pleasant
tasting recipe that even kids would like.
½ cup organic turmeric powder
1 cup filtered water
1 tsp organic black pepper
2 - 3 tsp nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon
A pinch of pink Himalayan salt
1 cup filtered water
1 tsp organic black pepper
2 - 3 tsp nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon
A pinch of pink Himalayan salt
½ cup organic
coconut oil
¼ cup raw honey
Instructions
Whisk water and turmeric
together, black pepper, spices and salt and
simmer on medium heat. Continue whisking for
4-5 minutes and let thicken. When thick enough
take off heat and add coconut oil and whisk
until fully combined. Add the raw honey and
blend thoroughly. Let cool a bit a put in a
jar and store in fridge.
To use cold, mix 1 tsp. in
with your smoothie. To use warm, mix it into
warmed coconut or almond milk.
